They destroy correct translations. This reverts commit 26e7eb4.
With PIPE, dhclient will not work. See also: https://bugs.launchpad.net/wicd/+bug/950865

The first is correcting a stupid translation change made by launchpad and the second is a old bug that prevent dhcp client to work.
