addgroup gives error: number 961200513 is not in 0..256000 range when uid/gid is greater than 256000
adduser/addgroup gives error when uid/gid is greater than 256000: number 961200513 is not in 0..256000 range Changing the approach to using useradd/groupadd from shadow the problem is solved.
