In testing out oxidecomputer/dropshot#1028, I've found some circularity challenges, e.g. omicron depends on crucible's dropshot version and crucible depends on omicron's dropshot version (via oximeter producer). I think this change makes the dependency cycle easier to break without e.g. having crucible temporarily depend on multiple versions of dropshot.
