Welcome to the Event Management Team of Null NEU!

We are the team behind the smooth execution of exciting events at Null NEU, dedicated to creating impactful experiences for our community. To maintain a 100% success rate in hosting events, we strictly adhere to the guidelines set by the Center for Student Involvement (CSI).

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Our Event Management Team works collaboratively to ensure seamless event planning and execution:

  • Events Manager: Oversees the event planning process, ensures compliance with university guidelines, and coordinates with CSI.
  • Core Team Members: Assist with event proposal development, logistical coordination, and participant engagement.
  • Collaborating Teams: Work with the finance, marketing, and design teams to manage budgets, promotions, and event branding.

How we Manage Events

Planning

  • Tracking: All event ideas are proposed and tracked internally within the E-Board and Core Team using a structured tracker. This tracker provides an overview of the event format, team requirements, and tentative details, including the date and venue.
  • alizing Date and Venue: The Event Management Team confirms the final event date and reserves the venue to proceed with the event request process with CSI.

Compliance with CSI Guidelines

  • Event Request Submission: Per CSI guidelines, an event request form must be submitted by an E-Board member at least three weeks before the scheduled event date. This form includes:
    • Event details (structure, format, and type of audience).
    • Budget details (if applicable).
    • Requests for additional equipment or support.
  • Timely Submission: The Events Manager ensures the event request form is submitted no later than three weeks prior to the event date and works closely with the CSI team to address any pending requirements for final approval.

Approval and RSVP

  • Once the event is approved, members and students at Northeastern University can RSVP via the Engage platform.

Communication and Coordination

  • Our team maintains open communication with the club advisor, GSG, and CSI throughout the process to ensure compliance and address any challenges.
  • The Event Management Team works closely with:
    • Finance Team - To approve and track fund allocation required for the event.
    • Design & Marketing - To discuss marketing strategy
    • Outreach Team - To streamline communication with external speakers.
