Strictly following the readme on a fresh Ubuntu 22.04 will not build openmcx as python cannot be found.

Instead of relying on python-is-python3 (which is not mentioned in the readme) there is a cmake function to find an installed python interpreter. According to the manual this function was introduced in cmake 3.12 and openmcx already requires > 3.14.

I tested this on my fresh 22.04 installation.

Good catch. I've encountered the same issue.

Me, too. Can this be merged?

By the way, this has been open for exactly one year today. I'm glad that some have found it useful, but why can't we proceed with a merge? I hope this project is still being maintained?
