First off, thank you for creating this fork!

I have been looking for a proper react-native like implementation of react-select and hossein-zare was the closest I could find, but as you know that project seems to longer be supported.

I was just about to make my own for when I saw your comments.

I want to bring the other prs from the original project. But in order to test those prs I thought it would make sense for the example project to actually pull in the dropdown component being used.

I this PR

• Add ios build to examples/.gitignore to ignore test builds
• Add react-native-gesture-handler to examples/App.tsx resolve an error the local ios build was having running reanimated
• Add examples/metro.config.js to pull in local copy of react-dropdown-picker
• Update examples/package.json to run react-dropdown-picker locally
