Most of this work has been happening over at https://gitlab.cncf.ci but I wanted to make sure we mirrored all the relevant repos to github:

variables:
  K8S_BRANCH: ci-master
  COREDNS_BRANCH: ci-master
  PROMETHEUS_BRANCH: ci-master
  NODE_EXPORTER_BRANCH: ci-master
  ALERT_MANAGER_BRANCH: ci-master

When this pipeline is run, the branch we pull artifacts from can be set via a trigger, or by updating the variables directly.
