The Circular Classroom is a social enterprise committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and waste generated within the education system. We train and mobilize students, parents, and lifelong learners to play an active role in advancing Singapore's sustainable development agenda.

Our work directly contributes towards the education targets of the Singapore Green Plan 2030 and the national effort to become a zero-waste nation.

To create Net-Zero Classrooms in Singapore—learning spaces centered on sustainability, from infrastructure and green practices to responsible production and consumption of education materials.

• Reduce Waste: Focusing initially on textile waste by finding solutions for the reuse, repurposing, and recycling of pre-loved school uniforms.
• Empower Community: Mobilizing 500+ parent leaders and partnering with 60+ schools to connect homes and classrooms through sustainability initiatives.
• Inclusive Impact: As a social enterprise, we dedicate resources to provide green job opportunities for vulnerable groups.

We bridge the gap between education and action through several core programs:

Textile waste is a major issue, with over 86% of school uniforms ending up in general waste. We reimagine this waste by upcycling pre-loved uniforms into functional products, art pieces, and awareness tools.

• Goal: Collect and repurpose 60,000 uniforms in 2025 (SG60).
• Impact: Saving an estimated 12 tons of textile waste from landfills.

Parents are key agents of change. We are building a network to empower parents to drive sustainability initiatives within their children's schools, fostering a "circular" mindset at home and in the classroom.

We conduct experiential workshops and "Learning Weeks" for students to learn hands-on 3R skills (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and engage in intergenerational dialogues about our planet's future.
