I'm unsure what the behavior of active and idle should be wrt to scheduled tasks. This pull request changes the behavior because it sets the worker to active as soon as at least one task is in the queue (scheduled or not). As the bug report (#6) shows the previous behavior is broken too because there is no way to wait for all tasks to have finished. I think the later is the far more important use-case. |

I would love to get this PR merged as python 3 compatibility is blocker for me. |
