Updated simple workflow to use Denmark as a location instead of Italy and changed site to Lake Solso. replaced taxontable but saved the only one and renamed it. Simon, see my slack message to you for more details.
Started modifying (i.e. completely changing) the complex workflow to be multi-site and end in a simple SDM
Completely changed the complex workflow to a SDM version. Still need to add some more explanation text and update the Summary
Turned the points about sites, collection units, analysis units, etc. into bullet points, so there are better examples. Added a small section about making sure the version is right (for folks installing their own versions) Switched all references to `lac_sites` to `denmark_sites` just so we don't get conflicts when we run code. Made sure all references to `Pinus` to `Poaceae` to make sure that the text matches the code.
I cleaned up the code in the complex workflow plus added text descriptions about the assumptions/considerations that we do not really talk about.
The INQUA 2023 meeting used a data example for Bison data. We're removing it for the Aarhus workshop.
I'm adding text to clarify and expand some of the disciplinary issues with work using pollen data. Also added some structure to the data prep/cleaning part of the analysis so we can jump between sections from the table of contents or the descriptions.
These are generated from some trial runs locally to get timing &cetera.
Worked through a large set of changes: * Added note about how long it takes to download all records. * Broke up the data cleaning into several sections, as discussed earlier: * First filter by ecology type (TRSH, UPHE), units (NISP) and elements (pollen) * Reframe some of the taxon standardization. * Clean taxa and sum the values within samples. * Filter by age group and clean up the records to the minimum set. * Calculate pollen sum and proportions in a single block of code.
Fixed some inconsistencies between new and old names. Completely redid the end portion to simplify and split into 3 exercises.
Fixed the `neotoma2` reference and added the reference to `rpaleoclim`. Added rpaleoclim to the `pacman()` loader in the complex_workflow.
Added institutions, orcids &cetera to the header.
Pull Aarhus changes into main for initial release.
Added harmonization as an option to the single site stratigraphic plot.
Jessica Blois and Erik Zepeda added a CoC to the Workshops folder.
Add Code of Conduct to Current_Workshop file
Updated lifecycle badge to "active" and lifecycle link.
Discarded tidyverse link to "active" which doesn't exist.
