Drupal Open Learning program team

We are in the process of solidifying these roles here - https://github.com/DrupalOpenLearning/administration/issues/1

The following activities are necessary to keep both the program and associated website(s) operational and sustainable.

Budget/Funding sources

  • Direct funding via Individual donations and Corporate sponsorships
  • Project funds - TBD % of each project and program will be allocated as overhead
  • Event and sprint funds - TBD % of any local chapter, related event or sprint

Program Managers

Responsibilities

  • Manages existing programs, directs development work, builds relationships, coordinates effort
  • Outreach to potential projects, community initiatives, and contributors
  • Blog posts, newsletters, social media and other promotional activities
  • Internal documentation and process docs

Who

  • Leads - Daniel Pickering (@ikit-claw), Charles Leverington (@cleverington), Gus Austin (@gusaus)
  • Apprentice / Intern - TBD
  • Budgeted time estimate – 20 - 40 hrs /wk

Operations Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Develop fundraising strategies for partner and client programs.
  • Leverage OpenCollective and other crowdfunding tools.
  • Identify, write, and manage grants, proposals, and other outreach.
  • Develop, and maintain relationships with partner organizations.

Who -

  • Lead / Mentor – TBD
  • Apprentice / Intern - TBD
  • Adviser/Support – DrupalCon, Inc. (DCI) ?
  • Budgeted time estimate - 2.5 hrs /wk
  • Notes - Ideally we’d would work closely with the Sponsorship Coordinator for the DA/DCI. Same people would most likely be able to secure funds (and get paid) on internal and partner projects.
