GLHF Moderation Guide
- Protect the integrity of the GLHF pledge badge by revoking the badge from trolls and genuine hateful pledge violators
- Use the moderation system to create teachable moments for the accidental and casual pledge violators
- Revoke the badge when people are verifiably reported (meaning there is an attached screenshot or other evidence) for hate speech and/or blatant harassment. Hateful racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, body shaming and telling someone to kill themselves are all examples of irredeemable behavior that warrant immediate revocation of the GLHF pledge badge.
- Revoke the badge when people have received multiple verifiable reports against them, or if they have been warned once and have been reported again.
- Warn people who have been reported once but the report is unverified (not accompanied by evidence).
- Warn people who have been reported for behavior that involves borderline language, or casual and one-time use of a slur, or indicates they have been tilted or extremely emotional, or indicates a frustration from a misunderstanding.
- Messages can and should be written in a mostly conversational and earnest tone. Teachable moments are especially effective when the person receiving the report can tell that a real human wrote it to them, rather than getting a cookie-cutter notification.
- If someone seems particularly disturbed or like they could genuinely benefit from emotional support, feel free to include links to supportive resources like to GameHotline.org or SuicidePreventionLifeline.org.

You've been reported for saying some disrespectful things to others in chat, which is against the GLHF Pledge. Please try not to take your frustration out on other people in chat. We are all living through a difficult time together. Games and stream chats can be a place to connect positively with people. Don't cut yourself off from others by being needlessly aggro.

You were reported for misgendering some GDQ streamers. Respecting other humans means respecting their pronouns. If someone identifies with she/her or they/them, that is their choice, not yours. Declaring that a transgender person is something other than what they have indicated is hateful behavior and can make others feel extremely disrespected and unsafe. Please do better to respect others or we will revoke your GLHF badge.

Please make better choices about who you hang out with and be respectful of others. Women have a right to be on Twitch and play games, too. If you engage in this behavior again your badge will be revoked.
You were reported for spamming black emotes any time Lirik was mentioned in stream. This can be interpreted by many others as racist behavior. Do better to respect others, and if you want to be funny, try to be clever instead of relying on weak racist memes. If you are reported again, your GLHF badge will be revoked.

You have been reported for using excessive hateful slurs in chat, including "fag", "cunt", and "retard. You have also been reported for repeatedly telling people to die. None of this is OK, all of it is against the GLHF Pledge. People play games and watch streams to hang out, have fun, and make friends. You are robbing yourself of those experiences by acting like this towards other people, not to mention making others feel bad and unwelcome. If you are good to others, they will be good to you. We are revoking your badge and hope you will do better in the future.
