Description
What happened?
Hi! Today I launched my zed to code some java and suddenly the extension was auto-updated to v6.8.2 (note that the latest release in GitHub is v6.8.0!). I just was working when I found out something, there was a new file with a random string name, and inside it was a random 5 or 6-digit number, inside the " folder (yes, actually named double-quote character folder). And when I deleted it, the extension stopped working.
On every restart, the file was created, and I can confirm that the value was changed, but I don't know about the name because it was too long.
Because of late attacks on packages, I thought it would be helpful mentioning this behavior. I'm currently trying to downgrade to v6.7.0 to check if the problem is from the latest version.
UPDATE: I can confirm that the v6.7.0 doesn't create the folder and thus, doesn't have the bug.
What did you expect to happen?
The folder and file should not be created.
