No mapping for Session Record Button

Overdub enable/disable doesn't act as Session Record Button when Start Playback with Record option is enabled in preferences or when Shift+Click on Session Record Button. I'm new to Ableton and this very useful for live looping. Is there any way to have similar behavior with the actual script? Could you please give me a direction and I could try to implement this by myself? Thanks!
