Lesson Development: Data Visualisation

I'm preparing a workshop about data visualisation. I'd like to focus more on fundamental concepts and the design process rather than tool-specific technical knowledge.
I want to include hands-on exercises, and a mini group project, but using pen & paper and GUI-based tools (Tableau Public probably).

I would like to discuss the ideas I have -- scope, content, hands-on part, general advice on teaching / creating workshops.

There seems to be a free spot in the study group schedule on October 3rd - could we discuss it there?

I think this would be a good StudyGroup session for the spring term 2020.
We should schedule the session when we have the planning meeting on January 23, 2020 (i.e. the first StudyGroup meeting in 2020).
