See https://github.com/nsarrazin/pep723-uv-interpreter. I think it would be more predictable to have all "auto venv" features in one extension, and Python Envy works well for me and seems maintained.
This could be an opt-in feature, i.e. it can be turned on that if a python file has inline script metadata, the extension will first try to find a cached uv environment, and then fall back to a project environment.
