Feedback

  • Splitting up the students in classes that teach to multiple programs
  • We have always lumped all of the students together, but it keeps coming up as causing problems for data interpretation.
  • If a class is taught to software engineers and mechatronics students, it would be ideal if the two student groups were assessed separately
  • This also came up with the iBioMed students, since ideally the iBioMed students would be handled separately.
  • I think Vena could almost handle this right now, if we used Sections.
    • For instance, we could put the software engineering students in one section, and the mechatronics students in another section.
    • The challenge is really on the data entry part.
    • The instructors might not have an appetite for the extra book-keeping. (I do it for my class, because it is co-taught with software engineers and computer science students.
    • I hesitated at first, but it really isn’t that time consuming to get the data for just the software engineering students in the class.)
