Settings page is defined in the gem, how to change it then?

The settings admin page used to be copied over. Now it is loaded from inside the gem. Hence one cannot alter the page (like hiding it from the menu for certain users). Is there another way to overrule the gem or should the page be copied again by a generator?

We are not using this gem lately, so it's difficult for me to give any advice. Please, make your edits, create a pull request and we will definitely consider it.

I also wrote the issue down for future reference and for others reading. Because of this I've abandoned the gem for our current project (which is kind of sad considering the effort which you've put into this).

Anyway, thanks for doing stuff open source! Maybe this problem will eventually get solved by someone.
