Find references for test approaches that we didn't find

From #209, I should find "(multiple!!!) citations for 'property-based testing' in 3.6, to illustrate just how odd we didn't encounter that. It would be optimal if you could find a reference for every testing method you mention here." I'm marking this as a low priority issue as it may be a rabbit hole, but would definitely be useful if time permits!
