Duplex (Grid Pie): can "run amok" when reaching end of final pattern while recording

To recreate, make sure that GP is configured for recording: that we are playing the last pattern (GP), it is looped and edit mode is enabled. 
Once playback reached the end (and cloning happens), the playhead is set to the newly cloned pattern. This will cause the cloning to happen X number of times. 

Solution : figure out the right playback position.
