This is maybe a problem that's symptomatic of our lack of abstraction over the Discord.js gateway, and how we have multiple different features all directly wiring themselves up to Discord events. A system that abstracts our various checks into a pipeline that calls the intended features and drops events that should no longer be processed might be the right solution here
