Bug description

I received the following SQL error when trying to update the financial information for computer items. This might be related to #498

SQL Error "1366": Incorrect double value: '' for column `glpidb`.`glpi_infocoms`.`sink_coeff` at row 1 in query "UPDATE `glpi_infocoms` SET `immo_number` = 'ASSET-2504-00463', `buy_date` = '2025-05-09', `sink_coeff` = '', `date_mod` = '2025-09-03 14:54:53' WHERE `id` = '6624250'"

It seem sink_coeff is a not null field in the database, but a null value is being passed

i think I found the problem. On line 957 in commoninjectionlib.class.php it's checking if the string is empty, which will evaluate 0 to true, and if it's not an ID drop to lin 963 and set the value to ''

Changing this to if( is_null($value)) cleared my error

Hi @stonebuzz - Sure, here's an anonymized copy of the file I was using and I'm pretty sure this was the linking in the model

Note: LegacyID is a custom field from the "Fields" plug-in, everything worked well with that though.

I did also get a similar error when doing an import last week when using another model linking the "value" in the "Financial and Administrative Information" table when some of the cells were blank (even with the modification I have in my plugin shown above changing empty to is_null ), just set the cells to 0 for the blanks to clear that up.

When running the import that triggered this ticket I didn't have anything linking to the sink_coeff field

It was a month ago when I last looked at this, but feel free to let me know if there's any other info I can provide.

We have the same issue.

When we try update Financial and administrative information of an asset we can't. Our logs have this error:

UPDATE glpi_infocoms SET suppliers_id = '19', order_number = '123', value = '', warranty_value = '', date_mod = '2025-10-20 10:25:47' WHERE id = '383552'

The fields of data base "value" and "warranty_value" now are compulsory but in the interface you can't see that. Afeter "Save" there is no any error message with this information. Just doesn't save and the user doesn't kmnow the reason.

Please, could you solve this as soon as possible?
