Massive slow-down / loss of FPS when clicking out to another window and back into TUI.

This is in relation to the TUI:

I'm on Windows 11. This was ran with python -m pieces tui. The CMD window was full-screen.

I was flipping through my chats in the TUI when I tabbed out of it and came back to a super laggy experience. I will say - there's really no science behind it.

It will sometimes completely freeze up for ~30 secs or it will instantly change chats. I have a small chat list, so I know I'm not overloading the code with too many chats.

It seems to fully alleviate itself when I get out of full-screened CMD.

It's easy to reproduce when you full screen the CMD, click out of it to another window, come back to the cmd, and click around the chats. Will freeze up.

does this only happen when you are in full screen CMD?
if you are not in full screen do you notice that lag?

After a bit more QA it happens on any size - when it becomes the worst is when you try to resize the window with the TUI. Completely freezes the program and becomes unusable
