Killing kernal

Hi,
I'm just having a hard time getting this code to work. When i call

mat = endf.Material('n-003_Li_006.endf')

it kills my kernel.
Is this only operational on linux, I am running on windows.

Hi Teancum -- it should work on Windows although it's only been lightly tested there. Can you point me to the endf file you are trying to load (or attach it here)?

n-003_Li_006.zip

It wouldn't let me just upload the file directly so i zipped it, but all the files i'm trying to open are taken directly from the endf master library at https://www.nndc.bnl.gov/endf-b8.0/download.html. I tried multiple files with the same result, and tried running it inside and outside of my IDE. The only thing i haven't really tried are earlier distributions of python.

So i tried to rebuild endf in a fresh environment, but pip didn't work. I got the following error trying to build the wheels.

@Teancum-Q There is a new version on PyPI that fixes a Windows-related issues. Can you give it a try and see if you're still having troubles?
