for reference, my display has 180hz and vsync makes hackmud run at 180fps constantly |

Just adding in an explicit approval for using mangohud for fixing framerate issues. mangohud does dynamic library swapping, and any code replacement in the client is against the current rules, but using mangohud to fix this issue is approved as a workaround. Thank you for helping keep out-of-game-gameplay balanced by not engaging in mitm and client modification. |

hackmud is not a graphically complex game. However, it is constantly trying to do some massive framerate, and consuming lots of resources in the process.
I would like the ability to limit the client's framarate in order to reduce its resource usage whilst running.
This could be done as a new
guiscript, or an entry in the settings file, or a new launch arg (-max-fps?), or whatever would be easiest.I have also heard some talk about people wanting to be able to make hackmud use just the CPU, and not the GPU.
@edg-l (
ryozukion Discord) has found a workaround for whose who have MangoHud, by addingMANGOHUD_CONFIG="fps_limit=<number>,no_display" mangohud %command%to hackmud's launch arguments in Steam.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
