Following this discussion topic, I think this new layout could be extended to DAQ_viewers as well. What I mean here, is that the settings for all the viewers could be also condensed in a single dock. In fact, the only things that currently take some place are the init/deinit button (which should only be accessible within a DAQ_viewer instance in my opinion) and the settings which now automatically pop us as a new window. In addition, I think that by slightly updating the module_manager, we can improve even further the dashboard. For example, one could think of extending the current logger parameter settings by replacing it by let's say a QTableWidget that:

I thought it would be nice to let you know of a recent feature introduced on the 5.1.x_dev branch (soon to be released) related to the size of the Dashboards. In this work, The UIs of the control modules have been reworked:
For actuators, you can now use three types of UI. The one below is the new default, called Simple. It allows everything it did before with a design on a line for a more stackable design. All advanced features triggers popups such as the settings (see below):
