Support workload identity federation #561

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe the problem.
There seems to be no support for authentication by means of workload identity federation.
Describe the solution you'd like.
I would like to be able to log in with workload identity federation in scenarios like azure devops/github actions pipelines.
Currently I seem to require managed identities or service principals.
