Build the best Bitcoin to DeFi Experience

Bounty overview

Using tBTC and Compound contracts, build the best Bitcoin to DeFi Experience. The only strict criteria is that your project must include a BTC to TBTC to cTBTC flow. A few directions you could take it:

• BTC/ETH DeFi Explorer
• Privacy - use tools tornado.cash, aztec, etc. for a privacy focused DeFi experience
• No loss Lottery (like PoolTogether) built with Bitcoin & Compound
• Portfolio tools for optimizing returns

💰Prize amount: Prize of $3,000 DAI

How to qualify

Must use tbtc.js and Compound’s open source contract integration.

Judging Criteria (i.e. Technicality, Originality, Wow Factor...)

In addition to a clear flow from BTC to TBTC to cTBTC, we’re looking primarily for a great experience: we want to see usability, utility, and creativity. On the technical side, the fewer obvious attacks your project has, the better. Good, clean architecture and a good API (when applicable) will also be weighed.

• A Ropsten Ethereum wallet with ETH (1-5 should be sufficient to start with)
• A Bitcoin testnet wallet with BTC (minimum 0.001, though you'll probably want 0.5 or so to have plenty of testing possible)

Bounty DAO: CompoundtBTC

The Robosaver team had a great time at ETH Denver!

We built Robosaver, a Dapp and a suite of smart contracts that allows users to deposit their funds into a user owned/controlled Robosaver contract that moves their funds into lending platforms and currencies with the highest interest rates.

It was really a lot of fun to explore Keep Network's TBTC process and we integrated it with Compound to demonstrate the end to end flow of Bitcoin -> TBTC -> cTBTC. We also used the Keep Uniswap integration to swap TBTC to ETH so that our smart contract could give users exposure to lending rates of different currencies.

You guys were all very helpful and patient on Discord and in person so thank you for that!

We did have challenges converting to TBTC. But from there we were able to pretty effectively move TBTC in and out of Compound and swap TBTC using Uniswap all from without our contract which was excellent.

Hello from Bitcoin Earn!

Bitcoin Earn allows you to start earning interest on your Bitcoin. Deposit your Bitcoin to create TBTC (tokenized Bitcoin), convert your TBTC to Compound Bitcoin, and start earning interest while still HODL’ing. Bitcoin Earn also allows you to trade for ETH and other interest-bearing tokens via our UniSwap integration. Also, references to your deposits are stored on 3Box, so users can switch browsers, and come and go as they please.

Our focus was primarily on user experience and abstracting a lot of the process to make it easy for non-technical Bitcoin holders.
