moving definition to a different file

Hi, I am using prmd and I really like it. However, would really like to move the definition description to a separate file that is combined with the API. I tried to reference the file using "$ref" but that does not seem to work. So just want to see if there is anyway to do it.

I'm afraid I don't quite follow the question. What part of things do you mean when you say "definition descriptions"? What file path are you moving it to? How are you combining them?
