Random appearance of unintended noise on the rendering screen

When ias-weston is launched, rarely there is an unintended noise appearing in the top left corner of the display. Unless a mouse event is registered (mouse movement / click), the noise stays that way till weston is killed.
Attaching the screenshot for the noise observed.
I didn't notice this issue while using weston with x11 backend, only while using weston with ias backend I observed this.

version : weston 4.0.2
Noise is observed on both Ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04.

No, it is simple rendering use case. (rendering image/video)

2. What platform is this happening on?
From what I have observed this is not platform specific. I have observed this on Kabylake(i5,i3,i7), Skylake(i7), Apollolake and Coffeelake.

3. Need exact steps to reproduce.
i. export XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=/run/wayland/
ii. mkdir /run/wayland/
iii. chmod 777 /run/wayland/
iv. ias-weston --tty=3&
Simply launching weston should reproduce this issue.
Also note that, this issue is not seen all the time. It is very random.

Hi Sameer,

Please find the attached weston.ini and ias.conf (as zip).
The attached ias.conf is for Display Port (DP). However, I have also observed the same while using HDMI port.
