Species distribution modeling workflow/platform

A number of participants are interested in species distribution modeling. A workflow could be constructed to easily use iDigBio occurrence data for modeling or iDigBio could be integrated into an existing tool.

I am happy to help with that. Also, we can try and implement the workflow I developed using climate data at the year of collection to refine the models. I started working on a R package for this workflow with Francois, and it stalled. I can pick it up again in the form of a R package and/or directly in the iDigBio website. Several researchers I have interacted with recently are interested.

As an idea, integrating that with the QGIS visualization might be interesting... I need to think it through a little more...
