EEPROM Data 8 Error

I got it to dump the eeprom once and confirmed it was all zeroes because I screwed it up in ConfigMagic. When trying to write my correct and backed up eeprom I began getting error 8 and error 1. I then tried i2cdetect again and was no longer seeing anything at address 54. That’s when I noticed that the Xbox immediately starts flashing the red light upon boot.

So it seems it’s always supposed to flash red with an EEPROM error. It turns out my SDA wire came off pin 3 on my Pi. I tried again and was able to see the EEPROM at address 54 but when writing to it I got error data 8. And then was unable to see it on i2cdetect again.

I am getting the same error, but have been unable to read the EEPROM successfully even once.

Using a Raspberry Pi 3 with Rasbian. Wires are tested for continuity and seem to be just fine.
