Improve downscaling algorithm #40
Description
Downscaling currently samples pixels, preserving original colors but destroying edges and reducing details. Likely, there are better algorithms to preserve pixelated edges or pixelate regular images, e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seam_carving?
