Add directory name in wavefronts

Maybe it can work only if all igrams are loaded at once and not if you load/process folder after folder.

DFTFringe never has more than one igram loaded at any one time. You can as you show process many igrams by selecting more than one but it only loads them one at a time and then overwrites it with the next one.

For me and my current process my igrams are not in the same directory as the wave fronts so I don't want to name the wave front from the igram path.

Lots of people probably rarely or never save wavefronts to files and there's no requirement to do that to use this feature. Especially now that dftf doesn't crash when you've loaded 20-40 files.

One solution (maybe it's too obscure though) would be to select a bunch of them and hit some kind of rename button that can insert some text and a slash. E.g. rename group then type in 45/ and it inserts 45/ before every selected wavefront name.

Or maybe when loading igrams it should save the containing folder name. Just like it does with loading wavefront files.

Or just save any numeric values in the file name that are in the containing folder so if the containing folder to keep wavefront names from getting super long.

This is probably true.

About what to actually implement I don't know. Batch renaming would already be an improvement.
An other though : how to document the "astig stats" feature ? Maybe doing a YouTube video ? I'm sure plenty of people do not use this feature which is wonderful and those who try it once do not necessarily know that you need to "rename your wavefronts" or "save and reload wavefronts"

Additional though about "workflows".

Why using test stand astig removal VS the rotation and averaging that removes it also? This is not clear to me so probably to other users.
I feel like test stand astig removal and astig stats have some overlapping features even if different.

Test stand removal removes more than just astig. One example is the constant astig added by the Bath beam separation. But it requires a lot more work and is usually done after you have enough rotations. Yes it also displays the astig graph. That is where it originated first. However the astig stats is useful even before you want to use the test stand removal feature. That is why it was added. The astig stats is used to help you quantify how much astig you have from air currents and if you also do rotations how much inducted astig from stand and other sources.

They each have their places and specifics. Don't mix them together. I think there are videos about the astig stats. I don't have time to go find but they probably are one at least one of my youtube channels linked to in the help. IIRC.

The test stand removal process was added to help users because the manual process is very error prone. You can do the counter rotate and average yourself. But the DFTFringe does it for you and displays things that let you evaluate if it was done right. Like rotating the correct way and constant stand induced forces.

I like the add dir option for the right click menu of the wave front list.

I have also wished to add a move wave front up or down in the list. There are times the order is important to me to group wave fronts together usually when I want to display a few together on the profile. But I have never taken the time to implement it. It may not be straight forward. I think it should be but....
