Z1-Mini rfid reader #8

I have been making rfid readers and other iot devices with esp8266 or esp32 but as I have switched to zigbee recently I wanted to to make a rfid reader with the Z1-Mini and a the PN532.
on my current esp8266 module the PN532 is connected directly without using arduino mini, is it possible to do the same with Z1-Mini? if so could you please describe how I can accomplish this?
I saw this project:

but I only need to PN532 connected to the Z1-mini no optional relay and buttons and wiegand reader.
