Description
The v7 beta announcement mentions "easier localization" as a feature, but the
@firebase-oss/ui-translationspackage currently only ships withen-USlocale.FirebaseUI v6 included 40+ locales out of the box:
ar,bg,ca,cs,da,de,el,es,fa,fi,fil,fr,hi,hr,hu,id,it,iw,ja,ko,lt,lv,nl,no,pl,pt-BR,pt-PT,ro,ru,sk,sl,sr,sv,th,tr,uk,vi,zh-CN,zh-TW, and more. These were in XTB format in the /translations/ directory.
Current state in v7
Looking at packages/translations/src/locales/, only
en-us.tsexists. TheregisterLocale()API is available for custom locales, but the batteries-included translations that made v6 easy to adopt internationally are missing.Questions
