Third Party Dependencies

I am having an issue with installing something like Font Awesome. I used NPM to install Font Awesome and it is now in my node_modules. It was not clear from the documentation how I was supposed to add it to the project. Do I edit the webpack.config.js file? Also, I installed this with --save only not --save-dev. Thanks.
