Ideas from using SitRep

We've used SitRep for a scenario and this is a collection of UX improvements I think could be useful:

• Pendenzen: Would be nice to mark ordered materials / troops with the same symbol, but dotted or grayed out.
• Adding text to the map without a necessary symbol (now, a dot shows up, but no text)
• Searching for symbols via typeahead
• Adding more symbols
• Adding more UN Hazard Number Icons (different chemicals)

• Pendenzen is already in the working together with the "Mittel" and "Mitteltabelle". We envision that the Mittel / resources are directly created as part of the triage workflow of each message. There you can add / link resources referred in the message (e.g. 2 AdFw / 1 Trupp in service at location X) or add a Pendenz for the specific message. The "Mitteltabelle" or the "Pendenzen"-Liste is then a mere projection of all open tasks or all active resources in service. Currently, the initial version is hidden behind a feature flag and we envision to release this later this year.
• Adding text to the map without a necessary symbol:
  We heard this feature request a couple of times already, but nobody could clearly explain us the real use-case behind it. Can you please elaborate what you want to use this for?
• Searching for symbols via typeahead: Yes that would be a nice addition. As we have planned some rework of how the map is used / populated with elements, we intend to also rework the UI. I make sure we add this idea to the according story.
• Adding more symbols
  We use the symbols we got from BABS, however the icons we got were missing a few which have been added by BABS in the last iteration of their manual, we have asked them to update their zip bundle and will then add them. What specific icons were you missing?
• Adding more UN Hazard Number Icons (different chemicals)
  That's a good idea, currently we use the icon provided by BABS which has a specific UN number directly embedded in the SVG. We can define an empty icon and define the specific text areas in the icon and then add a customized editor to populate them. I'll also create a specific story for that.
