Error connecting to NCBI

Hello,

When running the command line RNAlien on the AARQ02000011.1/391-585 test sequence from http://nibiru.tbi.univie.ac.at/rnalien/help, I can't seem to establish a connection to NCBI:

RNAlien -v -i test.fasta -c 5 -t 562 -o . -d construction1
==> Error - Could not contact NCBI server: Could not connect to NCBI server "http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov". Response Code: (3,0,1)

I installed RNAlien through bioconda (anaconda version 3), as described by the instructions, on Debian stretch. Any thoughts?

Hi, thanks for your interest in RNAlien and sorry for my late response.
Did the connection problem persist?
There is a new version of RNAlien 1.6.0, which enables to perform blast searches and sequence retrieval offline. This new version only request taxonomy information from NCBI server, so problems
with remote connections should be much more rare than before :-)
