Newly released Reusable Workflows allows you to reuse workflows in your GitHub workflows. While this still has some limitations, it’s still better than copy/paste!

Nice article .. a question for you though .. can github action access reusable workflow from another repo which is in same organisation
your blog says it is possible but the documents says otherwise .

we want to create a centralised action repo which other repo can use to create their own flows.

Hi @sachinkshetty yes you can! Not sure what documentation you're referring to. Remember, accessing Actions (not reusable workflows) that are not public is not yet supported - that's going into beta soon.

I am doing this where I am calling a reusable workflow from another repo in the same org. I may have a staff-ship of this feature though! If it doesn't work today on github.com (yet) it will soon.

Ok, I already test on private org and i am using two repos and does not work. It's redirecting to the doc i specified before.

Hi Colin, I lovely your articles about GitHub Actions, I learned so much, thank you for sharing with us this expertise!

Do you have any idea about using the reusable workflows + composite, for example, in my reusable-workflows repo, I created a dir called templates that aims my composite actions, and I referred to it in my main reusable workflow on .github/workflows/terraform.yaml. I think this helps me to organize my a little better my workflows. Have you ever tried this way? What do you think about it?

I'm researching how to execute files that are located next to the workflow_call yml file. Have you ever come across this? Could you give any pointers? (e.g. how to get the tag of the current call because the files are versioned along with the yml.)
