HoYoplay launcher - Genshin doesn't open

I installed HoYoplay launcher using the link and updated it to latest :-) . The launcher works and downloaded Genshin impact but whenever I run Genshin impact, no window appears and and it re-opens the launcher again (standard for game exit I think).

I tried different runners but mostly ge-proton10-28, updating anything that would be updated (DXVK)
I also added GAMEID=umu-genshin to env but all that made no difference.

I can't work out what other launchers are doing to make it work, but it would be nice to get it working in something a bit more organised like this if anyone has any ideas?

Turns out this is the network check on first launch. Genshin will open if the network is disconnected briefly when first running, or prevent connection to dispatchosglobal.yuanshen.com but then you need to restore connection to login. It sounds like this was fixed in protonfixes/umu a while back so although I'm selecting the "ge-proton10" runner is it being launched correctly?

When using lutris "umu-run" is running in the background and it works, but I don't see this when running in bottles. Is there a way to use the umu-launcher? I think it should be part of the ge-proton runner?
