Hi Alan,

Thank you again for creating DeepWave. My colleagues and I have a quick question. In your YouTube video, you mentioned a two publications regarding DeepWave and the preceding work that lead to DeepWave. However, I haven't been able to find the DeepWave paper online, I've only come across the Zenodo link: https://zenodo.org/records/8381177.

Do you happen to know where I can read more about DeepWave?

Hi again Constantinos,

I unfortunately do not really have any paper about it. The two papers mentioned in the video preceded it, and were part of the motivation that led me to create it, so they do not talk about Deepwave itself. Thanks to your question I have realised that those two papers (RNN wave propagation, and GAN model order reduction) should be linked to in the description of the video, which I have now done. Is there anything that you would like to know about Deepwave?

Do you happen to have, beyond the YouTube video, an architecture of how DeepWave works, and what equations you are using for wave propagation, fault mechanisms, and for PML?

I don't currently have any documentation on the architecture, but I would like to add that soon and will let you know when I do. There is currently some discussion of the equations on this page of the documentation and those that follow it for each type of propagator (scalar, scalar Born, elastic). The C-PML method is used for the PMLs, following the approach of Pasalic and McGarry for the scalar and scalar Born propagators, and the standard Komatitsch and Martin approach for the elastic propagator.
