About the Sexten meeting -- we have sent out the first round of invitations and we're already close to full. So it might be nice to add this to the list of satellite meetings but there's not much point doing broad advertising for it. I'd say MODEST should concentrate on the Viet Nam meeting. |

Hello, this is a followup of an email discussion started among the SOC's of MODEST23,24,25. I would like to collect ideas here for next MODEST meetings, in order to have a forum for exchange and planning. Starting today with a list of completely unconfirmed suggestions (exception: 1 is now confirmed), please comment and discuss:
There is a Sexten Meeting outside MODEST, SOC Alison Sills, Florent Renaud, Emanuele Dalessandro (chair), Exploring the paths from high-redshift to local globular clusters and globular cluster systems, https://www.sexten-cfa.eu/event/bfuture26/
MODEST-26: Quy Nhon, Vietnam, ICISE Science Center, (Oct. 11-17) - a date change to Aug. 30 - Sep. 5 is under consideration (quite probable) to avoid conflict with 8th Nepal meeting on black holes. SOC under construction, currently: Tomek Bulik, Abbas Askar, Rainer Spurzem, Fred Rasio, Anna Lisa Varri, Dominik Schleicher, Jarrod Hurley, Hyung Mok Lee, Dieu Nguyen, Nguyen Quynh Lan, Michiko Fujii, two more to be confirmed soon. Notice that IAU Symposium 411: "Star Clusters as Guides to Galaxies" takes place from Nov. 22-27 in Bariloche, Argentina. We think scientific overlap is not too big, scientifically and geographically.
MODEST-27: Two ideas for Sao Paulo (Alessandro Trani) and Edinburgh (Anna Lisa Varri)
MODEST-28: Idea for Rome (Dominik Schleicher)
Best wishes, Rainer
