Description
Description
The app is currently distributed through GitHub, Google Play, the App Store, and IzzyOnDroid. In the latter case, the repository can be connected to the official F-Droid app. The application can be found correctly, metadata in fastlane format is correctly read and used in search. However, the F-Droid mobile client handles even the HTML tags it claims to support very poorly. These include list formatting tags.
Here's what the feature list looks like in the source file (I was hoping that consolidating it into one line would save the layout—I was wrong):
In the F-Droid app:
This is why many developers are forced to use Unicode plain text instead of HTML (or even Markdown, which F-Droid doesn't support at all, unlike IzzyOnDroid).
Since the F-Droid client has significantly more users than the IzzyOnDroid client, I propose formatting full_description.txt in all languages as plain text. Yes, F-Droid is dragging the FOSS community back into the past, but IzzyOnDroid hasn't caught up yet and thus bury it.
