Proposal - Build TAXII Certification Levels #75
Description
I would like bring this topic back up and get it recorded here... As I mentioned months ago, I would love to see us build a 4 level certification program for TAXII... The first 2 levels would be done initially and they will be self-assessing. The next 2 would be built at a future point and would require some sort of peer-review.
Some ideas:
Server Level 1:
- Offer a discovery service
- Offer a collection management services (aka advanced discovery service)
- Offer simple Poll service that has NO query support other than timespans (maybe it only does sets not feeds, not sure here). But no async or anything like that.
- Offers support for at least one encoding XML/JSON/etc
Server Level 2:
- Everything from Level 1
- Offers support for inbox services
Server Level 3:
- Everything from Level 2
- Offers support for subscription service management
Server Level 4:
- Everything from Level 3
- Advanced Poll services including Async and Query
- Support for two or more encodings XML/JSON/etc
