Async Support and Remove Vulnerable Dependencies?

Would you consider adding async support to appropirate methods?

Btw, .Net Core App 2.0 is not needed and has vulnerable dependencies, you only need Net Standard 2.0 or 2.1 as target for lowest level of framework support to be compatible with new versions AFAIK.
