No way to get Subitems for a Parent Item

I am no longer able to get subitems for items due to this deprecation:

Deprecated: text field returns empty values for mirror, dependency and connect boards columns when using the generic column_values object. You should retrieve this data by querying the display_value field through the relevant implementation (i.e., MirrorValue, DependencyValue, or BoardRelationValue.

Are there any plans to support this? Or any means of getting subitems at all using existing library that I'm missing?

FWIW, I have had this same problem. I have had this same problem, but a the item level. IE mirrored column data shows up as an empty field.

You can just write a custom query to get subitems with the items and if you want to get data from mirror columns use
... on MirrorValue { display_value } in your query. The query might look something like this:

def get_item_by_id_with_sub_items_query(ids):
    limit = 1

    if isinstance(ids, list):
        limit = len(ids)
    query = '''query
        {
            items (ids: %s, limit: %s) {
                id
                name
                subitems {

                    id
                    ... on MirrorValue {

And then use monday_client.custom.execute_custom_query(your_query) to execute this query

Thanks I will try this but the whole reason for this module was to avoid writing graphQL ;)
