LinkedIn API - first proposal

Motivation

As the number of social and professional networks grow, it gets more and more difficult to keep all our profiles updated on all the different platforms.
The idea is thus to automate the process of updating professional experiences on the Xorg platform by using the LinkedIn API.

Tasks

The features to develop are the followings

1. get people to allow access to their linkedin profile
2. get the required information (automatic update of the profile X times a month/year/decade/century/..)
3. adapt them to follow the Xorg database format

Technical Details

1. Get authorization to access people's profiles: OAuth 2.0
2. get the required information through the REST API:
   • API console to play and see what can be obtained
   • syntax and list of the pieces of information that can be retrieved
