Roundtrip Sweeps and a Revit Profile via IFC. #2
Description
Using IFC For Revit & Revit's API, looking for a solution that roundtrips this file via IFC.
That is...
- From Revit, export out the file via IFC.
- Import the IFC file into Revit and recreate the sweeps and Revit Profile solely from the imported IFC file.
- The original file, and the newly created file should be identical.
Deliverables:
- Provide documentation on the IFC schema used to codify the preservation of the Profile Family.
- Publish the Revit API code under an open source license. The author to choose.
Objective:
OpeningDesign.com and OpeningDETAIL.com intend to use this roundtrip workflow to create these types of detail files.
