Hello everyone,
I am a graduate student currently working on combustion simulations using OpenFOAM (LES model).
In the original case, I used a 42-species detailed chemical mechanism, and it ran without any issues.
Recently, in order to improve computational efficiency, I simplified the mechanism to 29 species, and used the chemkinToFoam utility to convert the Chemkin-format mechanism into OpenFOAM’s reactions and thermo.compressibleGas files.
However, after switching to the simplified mechanism, the case keeps throwing errors during startup.
Could anyone help me figure out what might be causing this?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
